Showcasing PNW Fashion On The Runway.
About Our Show
Nuwave Runway is more than a fashion show—it's a celebration of the Pacific Northwest fashion community and a platform designed to connect, educate, and inspire. Taking place in November 7th 2026, at Core PDX. This this unique event will feature eight or more designers showcasing their collections while highlighting the creativity, innovation, and talent that exists throughout the region. This year's theme centers around Awareness—bringing greater visibility to underrepresented voices, brands, and creatives within the fashion industry. Awareness means recognizing the talent that already exists in our communities, supporting one another's growth, and building stronger connections across the industry. It is time for the Pacific Northwest fashion community to become more aware, more connected, and more collaborative as we work together to create a thriving and inclusive future for fashion in our region.
Beyond the runway, Nuwave Runway aims to educate attendees about the broader fashion ecosystem in the Pacific Northwest. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the many resources that help support and grow the industry, including local boutiques, fashion organizations, creative hubs, educational programs, production resources, modeling opportunities, and other businesses that contribute to the region's fashion landscape.
The goal of Nuwave Runway is to strengthen connections within the industry while increasing public awareness of the people, organizations, and resources that make fashion in the Pacific Northwest possible. By combining fashion, education, networking, and community engagement, the event creates an experience that is both entertaining and informative.
Following the runway presentations, attendees will be invited to a social hour with food and networking opportunities, allowing designers, models, industry professionals, sponsors, and guests to build meaningful relationships and continue conversations about the future of fashion in the Pacific Northwest.
Nuwave Runway is committed to helping create a more connected, visible, and sustainable fashion industry—one where creativity is celebrated, resources are shared, and opportunities are accessible to the next generation of talent.
The Beginning of Nuwave Runway: Spring Ascension Fashion Show
The Spring Ascension Fashion Show, held on May 10, 2026, marked the inaugural event for Nuwave Runway and the beginning of its mission to strengthen and connect the fashion community throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Hosted at 18 NW 4th Ave Portland, Oregon, in a small gallery in the downtown area. Spring Ascension was created as both a fashion showcase and a fundraiser to support the future growth of Nuwave Runway. The event brought together designers, models, photographers, makeup artists, sponsors, and community members for an afternoon celebrating creativity, collaboration, and emerging fashion talent.
The show featured eight designers presenting original collections that highlighted the diversity and innovation of the Pacific Northwest fashion scene. Guests were welcomed to a unique Mother's Day weekend experience that included a brunch reception, runway presentations, and opportunities for networking within the local fashion industry.
Spring Ascension was founded on the belief that the Pacific Northwest has an incredible amount of fashion talent that deserves greater visibility and stronger industry connections. The event served as a platform for creatives to showcase their work while fostering an environment of support, professionalism, and community.
The success of Spring Ascension demonstrated the need for more opportunities that bring together the various sectors of the fashion industry. It laid the foundation for Nuwave Runway's future vision of creating educational programs, networking opportunities, runway showcases, and industry resources that help strengthen the Pacific Northwest fashion ecosystem.
As Nuwave Runway's first official production, Spring Ascension represented more than a fashion show—it was the beginning of a movement dedicated to empowering creatives, building industry connections, and creating new opportunities for fashion professionals throughout the region.
